Wilt Chamberlain, second, 26.6
When people talk about the all-time greats of the game, Wilt Chamberlain doesn’t receive the credit he deserves. Michael Jordan and LeBron James are frequently discussed.
Not the player who set an unbroken record by scoring 100 points in a game without making a 3-pointer.
After joining the Sixers in 1964, Chamberlain won three straight MVP awards while playing for the team from 1965 to 1968. In his third season with the team, Chamberlain averaged 27.6 points and 23.9 rebounds while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. He also helped the team win a title.
In five of his 14 seasons, Chamberlain led the league in both scoring and rebounds. He was later honored with a Hall of Fame induction.
1. Embiid, Joel: 28.4
Despite everything that has happened around him, Joel Embiid has been a true superstar for the Sixers franchise, which has been a blessing. His play on the floor hasn’t suffered despite the Sixers going through coaches like Brett Brown and Doc Rivers as well as co-stars like Ben Simmons and James Harden.
Furthermore, it hasn’t lessened his dedication to the team (albeit given his remarks from the previous summer, time may be running out).
If he stays healthy, Embiid is a perennial MVP candidate and has already led the team in scoring for two seasons in a row. Inductee to the Hall of Fame: If he retired today, no doubt about it.
