Chris Wood and Melissa Benoist, co-stars of Supergirl, made their red carpet debut as a married couple on Friday. The actor, 31, and actress, 30, were present at the 2019 Saturn Awards in Hollywood. The occasion happened less than two weeks after Benoist and Wood were married at a private residence in Ojai, California, in front of Kevin Smith, Odette Annable, and Paul Wesley, among other family members and friends.
While her spouse donned a white blazer over a white shirt and black pants, Benoist wore a dazzling pink 3/4-length dress that knotted in the front and strappy shoes to the Saturn Awards. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films presents the yearly event. The 2019 Saturn Award winner for Best Superhero Television Series was revealed to be Supergirl. For her portrayal as Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El on Game of Thrones, Benoist received a nomination for Best Actress on Television, but Emilia Clarke emerged victorious.
Benoist and Wood got to know each other while filming the romantic comedy Supergirl on the CW. After more than two years of dating, they declared their engagement in February of this year.
