Katic has a history of working on superhero projects; she has voiced some of the most well-known characters from comic books for a variety of media. She even felt that her character Kate Beckett from Castle was a superhero in and of herself. She has portrayed Talia Al Ghul in the video game Batman: Arkham City and Wonder Woman in the animated film Justice Society: World War II.
We’re gradually pursuing more and more of that, in my opinion. She’s like a female superhero on television,” Katic previously stated to Collider. She possesses a great deal of integrity. I’ve been able to perform more tricks lately, which is awesome. We can now see more of her sensual side thanks to them. She has flaws and is complicated. There are several factors at play since she is not a flawless character.
However, Katic was also given the chance to portray a superhero in a live-action movie. It transpired that during her adolescent years, she had tried out for Jennifer Garner’s Elektra role. She didn’t get the part, but it seems like she had a great time nonetheless.
I was unaware that Elektra was directed by our executive producer Rob Bowman. My very first character audition was for Elektra. When I was eighteen or nineteen, I drove from Toronto to Chicago to read for the part because I was so fresh. That struck me as a very wonderful bit of kismet. After that, I was drawn by Frank Miller as Elektra, and he handed me his own copy of the Elektra comic book,” the actress recalled. But Katic was also interested in landing a couple additional live-action superhero roles.
