The third season of Amazon’s “Absentia,” which stars Stana Katic as FBI agent Emily Byrne, has been given the go-ahead. The actor, who also serves as one of the show’s executive producers, verified the news on Instagram. She posted a photo of a board with the words “Absentia season 3” scrawled in block letters with the comment, “Just gon’ leave this here. #WritersRoom In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide, Katic discussed the upcoming season and pretended not to know what it was about. She questioned, “Has the season three been announced?” and in response to other questions, she had stated, “I can tell you that a group of writers are getting together to talk about what a possible season three would look like.” I’ve provided you with it.
She also mentioned the role of FBI special agent Cal Isaac, who is portrayed by Matthew Le Nevez, saying, “At first, he seems strong and direct with Emily in that he doesn’t put up with fools.” There will undoubtedly be a trial period because he will be dependent on the person assigned to be his partner, but it’s fascinating that in the first few episodes, he focuses a lot of his time on observing the feral creature to which he is becoming attracted, and this leads to the development of a certain understanding. I have little doubt that his personal history, which we briefly discuss here, has something to do with his comprehension and ability to see through a lot of the unnecessary.
So we know that there is more of special agent Isaac in the episodes to come! ‘Absentia’ season 2 had premiered on Amazon on June 14 and the season revolves around FBI agent Byrne who has unearthed a thread of truth behind her kidnapping but is not convinced that everything is really over. She follows this thread and gets involved in a parallel-serial murder investigation.
