A VILL & A WAY West Ham makes an unexpected transfer request for the striker from Aston Villa, who Chelsea is also keeping an eye on.

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is the subject of a shocking transfer request from WEST HAM.

Chelsea, though, is keeping an eye on the Colombian forward as well.

In 2023, Duran, 20, signed a £17.75 million contract to join Villa from Chicago Fire.

But under Unai Emery, he has had trouble getting into the game.

This season, the striker has made 23 appearances and scored four goals.

Only seven of those games, none of which were in the Premier League, were starts.

In the meanwhile, he scored two goals in the Prem by the middle of September.

SunSport is aware that Duran is eager to look at different ways to increase his playing time.

High-flying Villa, though, are reluctant to deal with Duran—who has other suitors, including Chelsea—unless a substantial sum is made in lieu of a loan agreement.

Manager David Moyes is in favor of going for an experienced striker, and West Ham is eager to add a new player during the January transfer window.

Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen is a player the Hammers are willing to pay more than £42 million for, according to SunSport.

Although he only joined the Bundesliga team in the summer, the 23-year-old Nigerian—who has previously been linked to Chelsea and Newcastle—is already demonstrating his potential at the highest level.

Long-term concerns about Danny Ings and Michail Antonio exist for the Irons; both are paid well and may be moved if a new striker is added.
