After missing the Aston Villa game due to injury, a ‘dangerous’ Chelsea player was spotted back in training.

Noni Madueke, a Chelsea winger, has been observed back in training with the first team this week ahead of their return to domestic cup action.

A sequence of photos from training posted on the club’s website show the 21-year-old back in action after being absent when the Blues were last in action.

Madueke did not even make the bench for Sunday’s loss to Aston Villa, adding to the anguish at Stamford Bridge.

Deivid Washington’s inclusion in the squad just two days after participating in U21 action suggests that the Englishman was not seen due to injuries that have plagued him for the bulk of the season.

His only start for the Blues this season came against Wimbledon in the League Cup, where he put in a player of the match effort to help them win.

Madueke has returned to training.

Those watching the game praised him for his performance, with expert Scott Minto calling him as “dangerous.

With the way the scheduling are shaping out, it appears that his next appearance in that competition will be when Chelsea hosts Brighton in the next roun

The Seagulls’ depth has been evident this season, as Roberto de Zerbi has dealt with European football for the first time on the South Coast.

A run in a domestic cup could be essential for confidence at Stamford Bridge, but many would exchange an early exit for a run of wins in the Premier League.

So far, the Blues have only won one of their first six games.
