In an exclusive interview with E! News, tennis legend Andre Agassi shared some of his and wife Steffi Graf’s daily pleasures and discussed what has made them the ideal doubles partners for more than 20 years.

Andre Agassi has discovered his ideal partner.

The eight-time Grand Slam champion married another tennis legend Steffi Graf in 2001 in a wedding that seemed to come straight out of a sports fairytale. Graf won a staggering 22 Grand Slam titles during her career. After more than two decades of marriage, their partnership is now actually flourishing both on and off the court

Indeed, the two defeated equally formidable rivals John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova to emerge victorious in a pickleball competition held in Florida.

“Well, it’s easy to be champions when you choose your opponents,” the 53-year-old said ahead of The Netflix Slam on March 3 in an exclusive interview with E! News. However, it was a fantastic release for us. It’s something we like doing together.

It turns out that the couple—who have two children, Jaden, 22, and Jaz, 20—make it a point to engage in a lot of uninteresting activities together, of which the racket sport is just one.

Andre continued, “We love cooking together.” “We enjoy going on hikes together. Even going grocery shopping together is something we enjoy doing in pairs. Thus, this is really life. We are also fortunate.”

Because the Las Vegas native still considers himself fortunate after twenty years of marriage—so fortunate in fact that he used the term “blessed” twice to characterize his and Steffi’s relationship, adding that they “cherish it every day.”
