Arsenal confirmed line up against West Ham

David Moyes is staying mum about fresh fitness concerns before the London Derby in the round of sixteen.

Before West Ham’s Carabao Cup match against Arsenal on Wednesday night, David Moyes says the team has “one or two” new injury concerns to deal with.

The Hammers manager briefly had a fully healthy squad after Vladimir Coufal returned from injury to play Everton on Sunday. However, he disclosed the new problems on Tuesday and declined to say which players might miss the Gunners’ visit

“We’re having to deal with a couple of injuries that occurred over the weekend,” Moyes stated. “At this point, I wouldn’t say too much, but we’ve had a few knocks, and one or two of them might miss tomorrow.”

With a trip to an increasingly formidable Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday, Moyes must choose how to shuffle his team after West Ham has lost three straight games in all competitions.

The fact that Edson Alvarez and Lucas Paqueta will both be suspended for that weekend’s game after receiving their fifth yellow card of the season against the Toffees—the ban does not extend to Carabao Cup games—may facilitate his decision regarding his starting lineup right away.

I can’t use them on the weekends, so that’s a factor, Moyes continued. Although it’s disappointing that they were cited and suspended, the league has followed this policy this year.
