As the Foxes get ready for the Anfield battle, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca says Liverpool have crafted the best “transition” team in the world.

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Leicester, asserts that Jurgen Klopp has created the best counterattacking team in the world as his team gets ready to play Liverpool on Wednesday.

Maresca witnessed some of the most epic clashes in English football over the past ten years during his two stints on Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City.

And Maresca thinks no team can rival the Reds in some areas of the game going into the Carabao Cup fixture at Anfield.

Maresca, who has guided his team to the top of the Championship, said of the team: “They have some new players, but in terms of transition and work off the ball, they have probably been the best team in the world for the last seven years.”

So even though they now have new players, they just need some time to get used to them before they start playing again. The atmosphere at Anfield will be favorable for us.

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Leicester, is getting his team ready for Wednesday’s match against Liverpool.

The manager of Leicester cautioned against any potential threat from a Liverpool counterattack.

Even though Guardiola’s team has won all six of their opening games, Klopp has made improvements to his midfield over the summer, and so far, the alterations are paying off, as Liverpool is only two points behind City in the Premier League.

After being demoted at the end of the previous campaign, Maresca’s team has equally impressed, earning 21 points from their first eight games to reach the top.

He continued, “I judge the results because they are obviously important. But because we are getting better, I also watch how we play. There have been a lot of good things since we are attempting to renew and change some things.
