Aston Villa confirmed line up and team news against Fulham

Aston Villa’s anticipated starting lineup, injury reports, and team news up to date prior to their Premier League encounter against Fulham.

When Aston Villa visits Fulham at Craven Cottage this weekend, they’ll be looking to restart their Champions League qualification campaign. With just one victory in their last four Premier League games, the Villans have fallen to fifth place in the standings.

Last time out, Unai Emery’s team played a fantastic match against Manchester United, but they lost 2-1 at home after being undone by a late goal from Scott McTominay. However, if Tottenham Hotspur loses to Wolves this weekend, a victory may push them back into the top four.

Fulham, on the other hand, is smoothly cruising through midtable, having won their last three games. They defeated an inept Bournemouth 3-1 to go up to 12th place in the standings with 29 points.

But this Saturday in West London, how will both teams line up? Below, we’ve examined each team’s news and our predictions for the starting lineups.

News About The Aston Villa Team

Aston Villa has experienced a little injury problem in recent weeks, and their defense in particular is starting to show signs of wear and tear. Diego Carlos is the most recent player to be out after sustaining a hamstring injury this week; however, it is currently unclear how long the Brazilian will be sidelined.

The 30-year-old is now receiving treatment alongside Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa, the former of whom suffered an ACL injury earlier in the season and the latter of whom sprained his knee during the 5-0 rout of Sheffield United. After Konsa’s setback, Emery addressed him, stating, “Ezri is injured.” He will not be available due to a sprained knee. Perhaps three or four weeks, to be exact.

In other news, midfielder Boubacar Kamara has torn his ACL, ending his season. He will probably be sidelined till the end of the year. Emi Buendia might not play at all this term as she is still healing from a comparable injury.

Jhon Duran, the striker for Villa, is the only other injury issue. He sustained an injury during the 0-0 draw with Everton last month. Shortly later, Emery discussed the South American, saying, ‘Jhon is presently injured, but I am satisfied with him. He got hurt in the most recent matchup with Everton. He will not be available for the upcoming weeks.

Aston Villa Estimated starting lineup: Lucas Digne, John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Leon Bailey, Moussa Diaby, Jacob Ramsey, Ollie Watkins, Matty Cash, Pau Torres, Clement Lenglet, and Emiliano Martinez.
