Hammers duo close to comeback, but established squad will take the field at Villa Park.
When West Ham travels to Aston Villa on Sunday, David Moyes is hopeful his team will be in good health.
After an international break without any new issues for Moyes, Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell are both close to making their comebacks for the Hammers.
On Friday, he told reporters, “The international lads seem okay right now. However, the fact that the game is on Sunday helps us. This morning, we saw two of them for the first time.
“Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell are about to come on. Are they prepared yet? I believe Ben might just be a little bit ahead. I’m not entirely certain yet.
With a stable midfield that features Lucas Paqueta on the wing and Tomas Soucek in an advanced position, West Ham may stick with the lineup from their draw with Newcastle the last time out. West Ham is now sixth in the Premier League table.
Tomas has also performed admirably for us this year, said Moyes. He has been a key contributor and a terrific team player over the past few years.
He’s a smart kid, and I’m delighted his efforts are being rewarded. He’s playing a little further up the pitch now, and it seems like he likes it.
Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson; Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Soucek; Bowen, Antonio, Paqueta; predicted West Ham starting lineup
