Bad news: Aston villa ex player suddenly passed away today

This week has seen the passing of several former Villa heroes, including Graham Taylor, Dalian Atkinson, and Ugo Ehiogu. Samuel passed away at the age of 37 in a traffic accident.

Those connected to Aston Villa haven’t had an easy two years.

While dealing with the agony of being demoted from the Premier League on the field, players, supporters, and staff have dealt with far worse catastrophes off the field.

Jlloyd Samuel, who played for Villa from 1998 to 2007, passed away in a car accident yesterday, not long after dropping his kids off at school. His age was only 37.

The father-of-three lost his life after his Range Rover collided with a vehicle in the Cheshire village of High Legh, close to Warrington.

It is the Midlands club’s fifth significant disaster since 2016.

Dalian Atkinson, a 48-year-old former Villa striker who was well-liked by supporters in the early 1990s, passed away on August 15 of that year after being tasered by police close to his father’s home in Telford, Shrops.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) was notified of the event, and its personnel investigated the quantity and nature of force applied by West Mercia police officers.

Gross misconduct notices were then delivered to three officers.
