Between Steffi Graf and Monica Sales, who was the superior player?

Graf based on the current records. However, at the time of the stabbing incident, Seles was starting to show that he was the superior player. After losing in three sets to Seles in the 1993 Australian Open final, Graf herself admitted that Seles was the superior player. Graf played from the backhand corner, which exposed her even though she had superior mobility. It’s not like she was unyielding. She was covering it because her inside-out/inside-in forehand was superior to her cross-court forehand.

In comparison to Graf, Seles’s powerful groundstrokes from both sides and ability to paint the lines at sharp angles more than made up for her lack of movement. She outperformed Graf as a returner as well. Despite no one being able to replicate her two-handed forehand, she ultimately had a greater impact on women’s tennis.

Who is the greatest, Serena Williams or Steffi Graff, the two champions? or another individual that I haven’t addressed? Both are undoubtedly champions, but in my opinion, Steffi Graf is marginally superior. As I have already stated, Steffi achieved her successes at a younger age. In my opinion, Steffi was a player in a time when players were more resilient and reliable.

For a record 377 weeks, she held the top spot (Djokovic recently overtook her). In addition, she is the only athlete—male or female—to achieve a golden slam, which entails winning an Olympic gold medal in addition to all major slams in a single year. She is also the only player to have at least four victories in every Grand Slam. Serena had a long list of amazing accomplishments as well, but in my perspective, Graf’s achievements were slightly more astounding 😉
