Boost for Liverpool as Real Madrid “accepts £100m for Salah replacement – “Concluded

According to Spanish media, Rodrygo’s time at Real Madrid is ended, which is good news for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, who want the winger to replace Mohamed Salah.

Salah was the target of a £150 million deal from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, which Liverpool turned down, but further and improved bids for the Egyptian are likely in January and the summer.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Liverpool had selected Rodrygo as the ‘perfect’ alternative for Salah, and that the Brazil international is’ready to depart’ after failing to reach the heights of last season under Carlo Ancelotti this season.

The formation adjustment, which has seen Jude Bellingham act as the No.10, leaving Rodrygo as more of a striker than a winger alongside Joselu, has handicapped the 22-year-old, and it’s easy to see why he’d want Salah’s place wide on the right for Liverpool.

In a report headed ‘Rodrygo, KO, Real Madrid accepts 100 million, it’s finished,’ Nacional claims that the Spanish giants will let Rodrygo to leave.

That seems a tad unlikely given Rodrygo has started every game for Madrid this season, but the report uses the winger’s frequent game time against him, pointing out that he’s managed just one goal with no assists and claiming that’s merely provided enough time to assert that he is ‘very far from his best version

It is also alleged that ‘Florentino Pérez was sure that he would take a stride ahead after Karim Benzema’s march to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad, but instead he has taken a step back’.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain are all mentioned as potential suitors, but ‘those of Jurgen Klopp are the ones who bet the strongest on ’11’, and would be able to provide a figure close to €100 million’.

’..That would obviously be the case only if Mohamed Salah moved to Saudi Arabia, which would be unthinkable in January, especially if Liverpool are in contention for big silverware.

However, it has been reported that Salah was interested in leaving in the summer and may push for a move if another major offer comes in.
