Boston Celtics coach made a statement that hurts Jayson Tatum soo much that made him to….

NBA media days are always filled with a ton of questions, a ton of answers, and a dash of drama. After deciding to suspend Coach Ime Udoka and elevate Joe Mazzola to interim head coach, the Boston Celtics have a lot of questions to answer.

Udoka’s season-long suspension for “violations of team policies” will keep him away from the team.

Of course, with everything going on just before Media Day, players were going to be asked what they thought of the tumultuous scenario. When asked how he learned of Udoka’s ban, Jayson Tatum replied that he got the news on Twitter in real time, just like everyone else. Brain Robb claims that Tatum added that it would take “a lot to process” Udoka’s suspension.

Tatum stated that although he hasn’t spoken to Udoka since the ban was announced, he is eager to return to basketball and take the court for training camp.

Tatum seems to be putting the team’s and his own ambitions for the season ahead of any head coach dispute, which is not a good approach for any team to start the season. Tatum discussed the lessons he took away from the Boston Celtics’ 2022 NBA Finals run in an interview with NBC Sports.

“Not many people have even reached that point; it’s incredibly difficult to do so,” Tatum goes on. “You consider that after we sweep the Nets and play seven games against Milwaukee, which clearly could have gone either way, and then seven games against the Heat in which we would not have won the title if Jimmy Butler had made that jumper, you realize how difficult it is to get there and then to complete the task at hand.

In addition, Tatum disclosed to NBC Sports that he had a “plan of things that you like you can do differently” for year six.

“Entering the off-season with a list of things you believe you can improve upon for the upcoming season to give yourself confidence that you can succeed all the way through.”

As he begins his fourth season with the Celtics, Tatum appears more prepared and hungry to advance both himself and as a group.
