TOP STORY: Mbappe has a loan option with Liverpool
According to the Sunday Mirror, Kylian Mbappe might choose a loan move to Liverpool over a huge financial offer from Saudi Arabia.
Despite his club accepting the Saudi’s world-record proposal of £259 million, the 24-year-old striker has annoyed Paris Saint-Germain officials by refusing to speak to Al Hilal. PSG now worries that the Frenchman may leave the city for nothing and join Real Madrid when his contract ends in the summer of 2019.
Mbappe is still a target for Madrid, but they are unable to compete with Al Hilal. Mbappe may leave Paris, the French club receives a form of payment, and he is free to join Real Madrid as he pleases thanks to Liverpool’s willingness to provide him a one-year loan agreement that benefits everyone.
Mbappe respects Liverpool and Reds manager Jurgen Klopp and is open to the move. His agent and mother, a Liverpool supporter, are also enthusiastic about the prospect.
While Mbappe’s conversations with Liverpool agents before switching from AS Monaco to PSG in 2017 were eventually unsuccessful, they may again be fruitful as Klopp attempts to make one of the most dramatic transfers of the summer.
According to PSG, Mbappe is available to Al Hilal or Real Madrid for a record-breaking sum. Madrid has not yet made a counteroffer to the Saudi club’s and is awaiting PSG or Mbappe to initiate negotiations.
