Breaking News: Harry Kane shares how he feels playing for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane told Sky Sports: “A lot of people talk about the trophies and why I came here, but ultimately it was to improve, to feel a new pressure of having to win titles every year.” | Werder Bremen vs. Bayern Munich will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football on Friday at 7:20 p.m.; kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Prior to his team’s Friday night Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, Harry Kane insists he moved to Bayern Munich to feel the pressure of trying to win trophies.

The English skipper signed a £100 million contract and made his debut on Saturday, sitting on the bench as his team lost 3-0 to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

With Bayern expected to defend their championship, Kane, 30, is eager to get his career in Germany off to a quick start. Kane spoke exclusively to Sky Sports News as he prepared for the opening of the Bundesliga season with the German champions visiting the Weser Stadium.

When asked if he is prepared to start strong against Werder Bremen on Friday, live on Sky Sports Football, he responded, “I think so. I had a successful preseason, which included lots of practice and games. This week, I’ve naturally adapted to the team environment and have adapted quite well.

Every league season’s opening game is exciting because you are fired up and eager to perform.

“It’s going to be a tough game like every game will be away from home, but I’m excited to try and show Bayern Munich and show the fans what I’ve been doing my whole career and win the game.”

The fact that Kane has yet to win a significant trophy in his professional career has drawn a lot of attention, but at Bayern, expectations are high for the team to bring home hardware at the end of the season.

Kane is keen to experience this pressure after leaving Tottenham.

“A lot of people talk about the trophies and why I came here, but in the end it was to improve, to feel a new pressure of having to win titles every year, to go far in the Champions League, and to push myself to that limit,” he said in an interview with Sky Sports News.
