Diligent Award-winning singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has been continuously maligned by Nigerian music icon Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, who claims to have ripped the singer and exploited him to create a social media trend.
According to Portable, Davido was meant to feature him when he gave him a dinner invitation in Atlanta, Georgia.
The street-hop artist made this known on Tuesday by criticizing Davido’s actions in a video that he recorded.
He claimed that ever since he arrived in the US, Davido had been giving him bad advice, such as advising him to record with Empire Music when Davido was already doing so with Sony Music.
He stated that Davido should have paid him $10,000 for the photos because he is a “superstar.”
“Davido took advantage of me, you asked me to supper, you posted me, but you didn’t give me a verse or any money—you just used me as a trend.
brightness to the United States. He is just being flattering; he didn’t give me anything. He didn’t give me money, so he is not one of my philanthropists,” he remarked in a confused mix of street slang.
Remember that the singer unfollowed Portable on Instagram after he made a number of other remarks that infuriated him.
When Davido called Zlatan on the phone to talk to Portable because he was with him, the online outbursts began. However, Portable was not happy with Zlatan’s treatment of him.
He claimed that Zlatan had warned him not to get too close to Davido because they belong to the same fraternity, which he called “Aye,” and that Zlatan had also hung out with Wizkid, a member of the same fraternity.
