According to reports, Liverpool has offered Real Madrid an unofficial offer of €60 million for winger Rodrygo.
The Reds are trying to fill the vacuum left by Sadio Mane, who joined Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich after leaving the Anfield team. Darwin Nunez, a striker from Benfica, has already been signed by Jurgen Klopp in a deal around £85 million (€98.7 million).
But in order to strengthen his frontline even further, the German might be about to pounce on another attacker.
Liverpool already has players like Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Mohamed Salah. However, it is generally agreed that they could use more depth in their attack.
Klopp is aware that the Brazilian star is not very enthusiastic about Carlo Ancelotti, according to El Nacional.
Despite having a strong previous campaign in which he managed nine goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances, Rodrygo has started numerous games as a substitute.
The 21-year-old is content in Madrid despite Liverpool’s interest. As he seeks to establish his talent at the Santiago Bernabeu, Rodrygo hesitates before making a decision.
Vinicius Junior, a fellow countryman, ran into issues when he first arrived in Los Blancos. Many people questioned his capacity to fit in with the La Liga team. He scored in the Champions League final victory over Liverpool in May, though, and has since emerged as one of Ancelotti’s most prominent players. Rodrygo will be eager to carry on his legacy.
He is aware, though, that with the 2022 World Cup just around the corner, he might have the chance to establish himself as a top player in the Premier League.
This summer, Real Madrid could make a move for the star of Liverpool.
Rodrygo’s position in the starting lineup was further imperiled by Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, pursuing PSG star Kylian Mbappe. The deal never materialized, although Los Blancos are still thought to be interested in a number of forwards.
Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, who has one year left on his contract at Anfield, is one of them.
According to The Sun, Madrid is reportedly interested in buying the Egyptian star from Klopp for £60 million (€69.7 million).
The 30-year-old finished the previous season with a record of 31 goals and 16 assists in 51 appearances, making him one of Europe’s finest forwards.
He is one of the favorites to win the Ballon d’Or in 2022, though Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is anticipated to win.
