
The Ducati Desmo450 MX is Ducati’s first-ever motocross bike, designed to bring high performance and innovation to the off-road segment. Powered by a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine with Ducati’s signature Desmodromic valve system, it delivers 63.5 horsepower at 9,400 rpm and 39.5 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a lightweight aluminum frame and advanced electronics, including traction control, riding modes, and quick shift.
The Desmo450 MX features Showa suspension with adjustable front forks offering 12.2 inches of travel and a rear monoshock providing 11.8 inches of travel. Brembo brakes and Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires ensure precise handling and braking performance. With a wet weight of 231 pounds (without fuel) and a seat height of 38.2 inches, the bike is engineered for agility and control.
This motocross bike is designed for both professional and amateur riders, offering reduced physical effort while maintaining high performance. It represents Ducati’s entry into motocross racing, with plans to compete in major championships like the Italian Motocross Pro Prestige MX1 series.
