Former Arsenal defender who has been without a club since June is being eyed by Bayern Munich in a shocking move.

According to The Sun, a former Arsenal wonder is preparing for a Champions League comeback by traveling to Bayern Munich, a team that competes against Manchester United in Europe.

In preparation for a key Champions League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford in December, Thomas Tuchel’s team is looking to strengthen its roster.

After departing Olympiacos in June, Sokratis Papastathopoulos became a free agent, but the German giants have their eyes on the defensive stalwart.

Bild says that Bayern Munich is reportedly considering a transfer to strengthen their defense amid a significant injury situation.

Due to the injuries to their great center backs Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano, the German champions are in a difficult position.

After leaving Olympiacos in June, Sokratis Papastathopoulos became an unrestricted free agent.

The defender compiled an amazing 198 games over five years at Borussia Dortmund, where Tuchel and the center-back had a solid working relationship.
