Gary Neville mentions an Arsenal player who Man City would sign in a heartbeat.

The Premier League champions Manchester City are undefeated this season, but Gary Neville thinks there is still one player who would fit into their system perfectly.

Gary Neville thinks Pep Guardiola would sign Martin Odegaard from Arsenal to play for Manchester City if given the chance.

Odegaard has excelled in the Premier League since joining initially on loan from Real Madrid in 2021 and then signing on the dotted line the following summer. Since being chosen the Gunners’ captain, the 24-year-old has had a fantastic season.

The Norwegian is attempting to advance the north London team this campaign and has already scored twice. Neville is certain that Odegaard would fit wonderfully into the City system and has even compared him to two City icons, despite the fact that no team in the Premier League has started the season better than the Blues.

Neville was asked which players this season have impressed him on his Sky Sports podcast. When asked about Odegaard, he responded, “I’m not saying he’s as good as David Silva or Kevin De Bruyne yet, he’s got a way to go in his career. However, he’s reached a stage where his playing is so silky and smooth when I watch him.

He’s always been a terrific player, I knew that. However, what we’re discussing right now is far more than just talent; this is actual class.

He would definitely join the Man City team because he is a gorgeous player to watch and gets better every time I watch him, according to Pep Guardiola, who I believe would pluck him out of the Arsenal team in an instant.
