In preparation for their Europa League matchup with Toulouse in Ligue 1, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has given an update on a number of his players who have been left behind at home. The Reds would advance to the knockout stage with a victory.
Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, and Virgil van Dijk were left behind in Liverpool when the Reds headed south. Gravenberch and Jones might not return over the weekend, but the Liverpool captain should.
Although there hasn’t been any significant development about his father’s predicament, Klopp also mentioned Luis Díaz. He made the decision to go with his Liverpool teammates rather than stay at home.
Before the international break, Liverpool plays Brentford this weekend and Toulouse tomorrow in the Premier League. The first game back at the end of the month is against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
