In an incredible performance, Ronnie O’Sullivan broke four centuries to defeat Ding Junhui and advance to the 2024 World Grand Prix final.
O’Sullivan stated he is “not enjoying” snooker right now and was dejected about his performance this week.
However, he may have felt better after defeating Ding with what was maybe his best performance of the year, setting up a final matchup with Judd Trump, who defeated Cao Yupeng 6-2 on Friday.
After opening with a break of 135 and adding three more hundreds (128, 128 and 124), O’Sullivan, who has now won 13 straight games, won in just over 70 minutes.
Alan McManus, a former world No. 6 player, described it as “almost like the Matrix,” on ITV.
“It will all make sense when he sees the photo. I have no idea how he does it. It was flawless from the first frame to the last.”
