I was always a big fan of Streisand when I was little. I had all her records and remembered every song she ever performed. I used to compel my brothers to sit and listen to me sing them, and they were quite tolerant. One day, my brother and I were at Garden Park when I noticed her walking alone. My brother, who knew how much I liked her, encouraged me to approach her. I took a deep breath, approached her, and said, “Hello, I know you hear this all the time, but I need to tell you how much I admire your talent”. “Just leave me alone” was her reaction.
Yes. My friend’s brother used to work for her. He was the groundskeeper at her Malibu home at the time. He departed after barely three months. He stated he’d yell at the staff all day. Then in the evening, when they had their staff meeting, she was pleasant and kind. He had to sign a waiver stating that he would never divulge what happened there; I’m sure all mean psychotic actors/actresses had their assistants sign one. They do not want the truth to be known.
