Many people consider Bjorn Borg to be one of the all-time greats in tennis, especially because of his supremacy on the French Open’s clay courts. Still, a lot of people believe that players like Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer are among the best tennis players of the contemporary period. Every one of these athletes has had extraordinary success and made a big contribution to the sport.
Bjorn Borg was a superb athlete. Likewise, Roger Federer is. It is never fair, however, to compare two outstanding players from disparate eras. Every period presents unique difficulties from the one before it. Even though many people claim that Roger Federer’s career is almost over, he is still a difficult player to beat and can compete with players who are eight to ten years younger than him if he has the physical stamina needed for this type of game.
And this is strictly my opinion, Though both of them are legends in my book, I will give a tiny edge to Roger as I think the competition has been just too tough in his day, as more and more players are taking up this sports. And still his game is as exquisite as before, he is perfect blend of old and current approaches of playing.
