According to JJ Redick, Larry Bird is not regarded as one of the all-time great three-point shooters.
JJ Redick, on an edition of the ‘FLAGRANT’ podcast alongside Andrew Schulz, was asked about many various areas of the NBA, including his perspective on the greatest shooters ever. During the conversation, he again aroused controversy with his take on Larry Bird’s place on the list.
According to JJ Redick, Larry Bird is not regarded as one of the all-time great three-point shooters. Furthermore, he contended that even if Bird had participated in the NBA of today, heIn all honesty, Larry Bird is not among the best five three-point shooters. He’s simply not “Oh, well, if he had played in today’s era, he would be a top five [three-point shooter],” is the counterargument to that.
JJ Redick stated that Bird was a fantastic player who was particularly good at passing and shooting. But he didn’t stop there. A player who, like Michael Jordan, tried to be different from the others and wasn’t characterized by little thing would not be listed among the top five.
He was unwilling to give up on the Boston Celtics legend’s ability to shoot outside the arc in today’s league, though. In addition, Redick is free to express his thoughts because each generation produces a unique group of exceptional players, and it is impossible to determine if the legendary Larry Bird would have been successful in this day and age.
