The Princess of Wales disclosed in a recent video posted on the official royal social media platforms that she is undergoing chemotherapy in the early stages after her abdominal surgery in January discovered evidence of cancer.Following weeks of conjecture regarding Middleton’s whereabouts and wellbeing, the announcement was made. After the Associated Press published a kill notice for a Mother’s Day photo that Kensington Palace had distributed, which it discovered had been digitally altered, conspiracy theories began to circulate.
The princess hasn’t been on camera since Christmas, until this video. “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you personally for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I’ve been recovering from surgery,” she stated. “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”She went on, “My ailment was initially believed to be non-cancerous when I had significant abdominal surgery in London in January. The procedure went well. On the other hand, postoperative tests revealed the presence of malignancy. As a result, my medical team recommended that I start a prophylactic chemotherapy course, which I am currently doing.”
Middleton continued by saying that her and Prince William’s kids have been receiving explanations of the situation from the family over time. “This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she continued. “This has taken time, as you may imagine. Before I could begin my treatment, I had to recuperate from a major surgery, but more significantly, it took time for us to convince George, Charlotte, and Louis that everything would be alright and to explain everything to them in a way that made sense.”
