The first trailer for Absentia’s Season 2 on Amazon suggests that things haven’t gotten any better for Emily Byrne (Stana Katic), who will return to the show next month. Having been imprisoned for six years and losing all recollection of her captivity, Emily’s first season was devoted to finding and killing her torturer. Even with his passing, though, returning to her new life was difficult, particularly because her kid was being raised by a different lady and her husband had moved on. Emily will learn in Season 2 that exacting retribution for her captivity won’t make the agony the torture inflicted go away.
