They did this by breaking down an infamously altered photo of Middleton and her kids and by making assumptions about possible body doubles. Haines described Middleton’s diagnosis—which the princess disclosed occurred after an abdominal surgery in January—as a “heart-wrenching” revelation and added that the way the Palace handled the matter made her doubtful as well. “You simply never know what another person is dealing with. Whether it was Princess Diana, Fergie, or Meghan Markle, I’ve always wondered how the Royal Family treats women,” Haines remarked. “I was not blaming Kate for what was going on, it really bothered me the way it was handled — whether it was my business or not could be debated.”
Additionally, Ana Navarro referred to this as “a teachable moment” and said she took away a specific lesson from it: “When Whoopi Goldberg tells me to mind my own damn business, I will mind my own damn business from now on.” She also said she won’t be offering her opinion on private affairs going forward. “I’m going to keep my mouth shut,” Navarro declared to the crowd. Hostin first made light of the cohosts’ handling of the matter, notably questioning if there were any other pictures of Middleton apart from the widely shared picture of the queen and her kids.
