Because of the terrible deaths of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and seven other people in a helicopter crash on January 26, basketball fans and the Los Angeles Lakers will always remember that day.

Four years after the shocking news, the NBA is still in mourning for Bryant. Many league players expressed their condolences to Bryant and his family, and others, such as Trae Young, stated that he would have loved to work with the Black Mamba.

Bryant was an intense competitor at the height of his game who could score nearly anytime, even when opponents closed in on him. With 81 points, Bryant still owns the record for the second-highest scoring game in NBA history, despite challenges from current players to surpass his record.

Superstar Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks nearly eclipsed Bryant with 73 points in a victory over the Atlanta Hawks. According to Landon Thomas of Mavs Fan For Life:, Doncic acknowledged how special the occasion was for him as he gave his career performance on the anniversary of Bryant’s passing.
