List of Aston Villa players returning back from injury today

Birmingham’s Aston Villa newsLive as Unai Emery provides an injury report prior to Legia Warsaw’s Europa Conference League match on Thursday night.

When Aston Villa plays Legia Warsaw in the Europa Conference League group stage on Thursday, there are no new injury concerns.

Earlier this month, Unai Emery welcomed Alex Moreno back to the matchday squad. Jacob Ramsey has also made a comeback following a setback in his injury recovery. Moreno has been named in six squads this season, including the ones that have played Tottenham, AZ Alkmaar Fulham, and Nottingham Forest, although he has yet to debut for Villa.

On Thursday, the left-back might make his debut of the season, while Ramsey, who last played for Villa against Spurs, might also make an appearance. After recovering from a foot ailment, the 22-year-old resumed full training last week ahead of the Premier League match in north London.

Nicolo Zaniolo, meanwhile, is set to play against Legia after recovering from a slight injury that kept him out of the team’s victory over Tottenham the previous weekend. Tuesday was the Italy international’s training session at Bodymoor Heath.

When it comes to managing the minutes of athletes who are recovering from injuries, we must exercise extreme clinical judgment. Some players may feel a little fatigued after Sunday, but we’ll meet tomorrow, and I’ll make the final decision about our condition. Every player exercised really well today.”
