Liverpool potential line up this Jenuary season with new signings

If the Reds want to continue their unexpected title campaign in the Premier League, they will undoubtedly need to bolster their roster.

The way Liverpool’s season is unfolding is beyond anyone’s expectations. With only one loss so far this season, the redesigned Reds are not only fighting for a top-four spot in the Premier League, but they are also in the running for the championship.

But Jurgen Klopp’s life is about to get much more difficult. Due to their respective participation in the Africa Cup of Nations and Asian Cup, the German manager will now have to live without Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo for a sizable portion of January and February after losing Joel Matip to a season-ending knee injury and both of his left-backs, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, to dislocated shoulders.

Liverpool has made some significant January acquisitions in the past (Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, etc.), so even if the team is frequently hesitant to make significant changes midway through the season, it is obvious that the roster needs to be strengthened if Klopp is to maintain a title push.

In light of this, GOAL selects six players that, when the transfer market opens in a month, the Reds should at least think about signing.

Until Robertson returns, Antonee Robinson (Fulham) Klopp may choose to stick with Joe Gomez at left back. No matter where he is used, the Englishman is an incredibly adaptable defender who seldom lets Liverpool down.

However, ideally the Reds would have a left-back specialist instead of a band-aid fix. It is therefore hardly shocking that there are rumors of a move for Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, who is enjoying a fantastic season with three goals in 21 appearances in all competitions.

At this point in the season, would the Cottagers really be willing to let go of the USMNT star? Given that the 26-year-old’s recently expanded contract now spans until 2028, it seems unlikely. Even as a former Everton player, Robinson would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to join Liverpool!
