Liverpool vs Brighton Confirmed line up

For Liverpool’s Premier League trip to Brighton today, Cody Gakpo is absent.

Gakpo was forced off against Spurs last weekend and is ineligible to travel to the Amex Stadium, but Jurgen Klopp is hopeful he will return following the break in international play.

Cody, there’s a chance, said Klopp. He is already out of the brace and moving around normally, so I believe he almost got the best injury-wise out of all the very, very awful prospects and possibilities.

Trent Alexander-Arnold may now return to the starting lineup thanks to Klopp.

In the 2-0 Europa League victory over Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday, Alexander-Arnold made his first start in more than a month. He played just over an hour.

Stefan Bajcetic’s injury recuperation has been hindered, and Thiago Alcantara is still out injured.

Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Endo, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz were the expected starting lineup for Liverpool.

Gakpo, Thiago, Bajcetic, Jota (suspended), and Jones (suspended) were all hurt.

Date and time: Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 2 PM
