A fitness update on Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara is given by Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool is awaiting some encouraging news regarding injuries before playing Luton this afternoon.
With the journey to Kenilworth Road rapidly approaching, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, and Andrew Robertson are all out, according to Jurgen Klopp.
“There is still work to be done,” he informed reporters on Friday. “We are unable to apply additional pressure there.
“We anticipate his return in the upcoming year. Four more weeks, that’s doable, in my opinion. I’m eager for him to return.”
While young midfielder Bajcetic made a brief comeback in September after his 2022–23 campaign ended prematurely due to injury, Thiago has not played since April.
“With Stefan, it’s one of these things where Liverpool have a brilliant player,” Klopp said.
“His talent and quality are evident to all. What a teammate. However, his body wasn’t prepared yet. We must apply the brakes and bide our time till everything settles down.
Following a promising development surrounding the kidnapping of his father in Colombia, Liverpool will let Luis Diaz to determine when he is prepared to resume playing.
With all four attackers in the goals lately, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo are vying for the starting position up front.
Predicted starting lineup for Liverpool: Alisson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Gomez, Gomez, Konate, Alexander-Arnold, Salah, Nunez, Jota
Query: Diaz
