Looking at other celebrities who were offended by Barbra Streisand’s “acidic” remark regarding Melissa McCarthy’s weight as her “rude” comment about her weight causes outrage

Barbra said in 2018 that she was “gaining weight” because of Donald Trump because she turned to comfort food to cope with the political climate at the time.

The ‘lying’ President was making her feel ‘kind of depressed,’ she continued, telling Australia’s Stellar magazine, as she stayed up late eating chocolate and ice cream.

“Trump has been lying since the beginning, and I simply respect the truth—in my work and in my life.” It’s so powerful, in my opinion,” Barbra said.

To me, the essence of a democratic society is the pursuit of the truth, and I suppose the reason that vexs me so much is that Trump seems to give such a damn about it, given his daily deception and fabrications.

She continued, saying, “I had to have two coffee ice cream cones when the news gets really bad, like it did the other night while listening to (the President)… I could not resist having two. Three was what was on my mind.

The television version of his play The Normal Heart engulfed Barbra and Larry in a drama that lasted for years.

In 1986, Barbra appeared to have been unable to secure the necessary funds to produce The Normal Heart, despite having optioned the rights to the film.

In a 2012 email that was discovered to be leaked, Larry expressed his dissatisfaction to Barbra by saying that she “did not have quite the same burning passion to make it as you always claim.”

Nevertheless, Barbra stuck up for herself, saying, “Larry kept coming out against me in the press.”

However, I believe that continuing to hold me responsible for the film’s cancellation is unjust.

I put in 25 years of unpaid labor on it. Larry has held the rights for the previous fifteen years.

When I eat chocolate right before bed, it sometimes keeps me up until five or six in the morning. I don’t get much sleep.
