Luis Diaz returns for Liverpool against Luton Town, but five players are absent.

This afternoon in the Premier League, Luton Town will host Liverpool.

Liverpool will play Luton Town at Kenilworth Road this afternoon to resume Premier League action.

The two teams are separated by a massive 18 points in the standings, and the Reds are coming into the match fresh off a 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday. Conversely, Luton suffered a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa in their most recent match.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, stated in a Friday morning speech that Luis Diaz will determine this afternoon whether or not he is ready to play. Fearing for his father’s safety after he was kidnapped at gunpoint by Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) members the previous weekend, the forward resumed training on Wednesday. Cilenis Marulanda, his mother, was also abducted but eventually freed.

The Reds manager also disclosed that Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara are still out of the training zone due to extended injuries. As he continues to recover from a hip issue that required surgery in the summer, Thiago has yet to play a single game this season. However, Klopp is optimistic that he will play again in the New Year.

And in light of the most recent information regarding the Liverpool team, we have examined Klopp’s entire roster for this afternoon’s match.

Adrian, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Alisson Becker are the goalkeepers.

Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, Jarell Quansah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luke Chambers, Kostas Tsimikas, and Virgil van Dijk are the defenders.

Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo are the forwards.

Andy Robertson (shoulder), Conor Bradley (back), Ben Doak (minor muscle problem), Stefan Bajcetic (calf), and Thiago (hip) are out.
