Luka Doncic says, “I wasn’t born yet,” in response to a comparison of his skills to a European passing savant.

One of the best playmakers in the EuroLeague was likened to Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic on Thursday. Despite their differences in age and experience, the four-time All-Star responded to the comparison with humility.A video of veteran point guard Milos Teodosic of Crvena Zvezda’s highlight pass versus Olimpia Milano was tweeted by BasketNews. The clip was titled “Milos Teodosic delivering a Doncic-esque pass” by the site.

Doncic, 24, chose not to accept the complimentary remarks, pointing out that the 36-year-old began playing basketball far earlier than he did. He thus suggested that rather than the other way around, he ought to be the one being compared to Teodosic.

Doncic tweeted, “I wasn’t even born when he was already making those passes.”

Doncic’s answer made sense because he was born in 1999, although Teodosic, at 14 years old, began playing for FMP from Belgrade in 2001. At the age of 20, he then started playing for Olympiacos in 2007.Thus, the star of the EuroLeague has a lengthy professional career, which included a brief NBA trip with the Los Angeles Clippers from 2017 to 2019. Therefore, the majority of people would probably concur that it’s good to see Doncic honoring a fellow European player who paved the path for him.
