If LARRY Bird faced Michael Jordan one-on-one right now, he thinks it would be a close game and he knows for sure who would win.
Bird stated on the Dan Patrick show, “God, I hate to admit this but he’d kill me.”
In an interview, Patrick informed Bird of Jordan’s claim that he could defeat every player on the Charlotte Hornets squad in a one-on-one match, causing the legendary Boston Celtics player to chuckle.
However, Bird—58 now, the president of the Indiana Pacers—admits he believes Jordan, the former Chicago Bulls star and current owner of the Bobcats, would
“I’ve broken down and gained forty pounds since I played. Unlike before, I don’t really give a damn. I still fight, but it’s not the same fight I had before. However, the game would be rather close.”
