Midlands club Aston Villa is keen to sign a “rough diamond”

According to reports, Unai Emery wants to strengthen his team.

Following an erratic start to the Premier League season, Aston Villa is steadily improving under Unai Emery. Their previous game saw them finally put everything together as they destroyed a formidable Brighton & Hove Albion team 6-1 at Villa Park. Following the spectacular outcome, those in the Midlands will be looking to put together an equally amazing winning streak in the league.

Villa’s willingness to spend big money was on full display throughout the summer, and they might yet improve when the January transfer market opens. However, rumors claim that they are still “very interested” in a certain La Liga player.

What are the most recent Aston Villa trade rumors?

Aston Villa reportedly spent a total of €93m (£81m) on reinforcements during the summer transfer window, bringing in players like Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby, and Nicolo Zaniolo. In particular, Diaby, who has five goal involvements in seven Premier League games, has proven beneficial thus far. In light of future expansions, it does raise the question of how far this side can develop

.

We might also get the answer to that query when the January transfer market begins due to interest in a La Liga player. Sport in Spain claims that Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, whose contract is up next summer, is still a target for Villa and, consequently, president of football operations Monchi. Because of this, if Bilbao wants to profit, it could have to happen in January, giving Villa a chance.

The Midlands club has been given a boost by reports that Barcelona and Real Madrid have abandoned their pursuit of the winger, but Brighton and Paris Saint-Germain remain rivals. Williams might still sign a new contract in Spain, which might contain other things.

With four assists in just five games this season, Williams, a 21-year-old international for Spain, already stands out as one of the league’s top young players. But he hasn’t simply contributed significantly to the present campaign as a creator. The Bilbao man has made an impression in nearly all significant areas. And according to FBref, in certain ways he has even exceeded current Villa winger Leon Bailey.

Williams has deservedly received high accolades for his early career, especially from his brother and teammate at Bilbao, Inaki Williams, who stated:

“(His ascent) is amazing. He is demonstrating his improvement and experience. He is significantly improved in front of goal. He is gifted. an uncut diamond. He still has a lot of room for development, so maybe he can do so.

In light of this, Villa may have a true gem on their hands if they can close a deal, both for the present and the future. Williams appears to be a player to keep an eye on when the January transfer market opens.
