It has been one week since the Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, his close friend and former interpreter Ippei Mizuhara, an alleged illegal bookmaker in southern California, and at least $4.5 million in wire transfers from Ohtani’s bank accounts became embroiled in the baseball gambling crisis. Furthermore, it’s difficult to keep up with the numerous times that Ohtani, Mizuhara, their representatives, and Major League Baseball (MLB) have altered their narratives or stances.
