NBA: Jayson Tatum shines as the Boston Celtics solidify their hold on the Eastern Conference lead, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder

With 38 points from Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics defeated the Utah Jazz 123-107 to advance in their NBA title defense. Joe Mazzulla’s team improved to 51-14 in the Eastern Conference with the victory. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s hopes of winning the Western Conference were severely damaged with a 121-111 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Tyrese Haliburton supported his countryman with 18 points and nine assists as six Pacers players recorded double-digit scoring efforts. Myles Turner was the team’s main scorer with 24 points, ending the leaders’ three-game winning streak.
