Ten of his twenty-four made jumpers were in the midrange. Of those, nine originated from within the key’s upper circle. Embiid received the ball close to the free throw line on multiple occasions. He then took a step back to shoot a jumper over Victor Wembanyama’s long, outstretched arm. Wembanyama is one of the few players in the league large enough to effectively block Embiid’s 7′ height, but Embiid seemed unfazed by Wembanyama’s attempt to block those shots.
