Thomas Tuchel has lost all of his DFB Pokal games since taking over Bayern Munich from Julian Nagelsmann last season. To be fair, it was just one game, but that’s a pretty awful percentage for any coach, and one that he’ll be seeking to improve this week.
SC Preußen Münster aren’t exactly world beaters; they’re now 15th on the 3.Liga table, having won only two games all season. With this in mind, Bayern Munich will most likely rotate, but who will get the nod? Let us investigate.
News from the team
Daniel Peretz, the 23-year-old Israeli goalkeeper, will make his first appearance for Bayern since joining the club, as revealed by the coach. Aside from that, there are a few injuries to consider: Matthijs de Ligt is still recovering from the knock he received against VfL Bochum, and Jamal Musiala is not fully healthy. Raphael Guerreiro, on the other hand, has returned to the squad, and supporters may see the former Borussia Dortmund fullback as a potential substitute (if not as an outright starter)
.In terms of the lineup, Harry Kane could be better off sitting this one out. Tuchel highlighted Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in his pregame press conference, so we should expect the Cameroonian to start up top. Mathys Tel, a youngster with an outrageous scoring ratio in the Bundesliga, is also set to make his debut. He could see time on the left as a backup to Choupo, among more experienced players like Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnabry.
