With this one, I’m actually in the middle. While Chamberlain was a very involved individual in many spheres of life, 20,000 is just 20,000.
Wilt was a gregarious, gregarious person. Because he enjoyed dancing, he frequently attended parties and clubs, which are gathering spots for ladies. Wilt enjoyed the company of ladies and took an interest in women’s sports and the initiatives to further them.
It looked like Wilt loved to talk about women and anything related to his promiscuity in the many interviews I’ve watched of him. Either way, ladies would come up for a while or would be brought up repeatedly during the conversation.
Wilt is a womanizer, and I have no doubt that he was constantly searching for another. “I was just doing what was natural, chasing good-looking ladies, wherever they were and whoever they were,” Chamberlain famously remarked.
I don’t know much about America, but it looks like Wilt was less active with ladies in Philadelphia and San Francisco than he was in Los Angeles. I believe Wilt’s activity increased dramatically after moving to Los Angeles. A beach looks like the ideal spot to be given the pleasant weather there. I’m sure Chamberlain had other reasons for wanting to visit the beach than the nice weather, as he played beach volleyball. Fortunately for him, he was a really decent volleyball player, so he didn’t appear to be some rubbish player hanging out on the beach only with ladies. The volleyball hall of fame inducted Chamberlain as well.
Wilt couldn’t sleep. Since he had trouble sleeping, was there anything else you could do to pass the time? Generally speaking, it seems that Wilt would require his time with ladies at some point during the day (or night); perhaps he was an uncontrollable man.
I think Wilt had at least a thousand. It’s difficult not to think so given his active social life, his outgoing and articulate demeanor, his humor, his alleged pick-up lines, his lack of sleep, and his Los Angeles residence. Wilt moreover possessed exceptional endurance and stamina.
