In a humorous Instagram interaction with Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland acknowledged that he thinks about the Manchester City player “every night.”
In Sunday’s 2-0 victory over West Ham, the two players combined; De Bruyne provided a beautiful through ball for Haaland, who then finished past Alphonse Areola.
This Saturday, when Pep Guardiola’s team hosts Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, they will play together for the first time in a Premier League match.
And City supporters will be happy to see that their players’ off-field chemistry and relationship are both growing.
In a restaurant, Haaland shared a picture on Instagram with the remark, “About to order the whole menu.”
You want me to hold the menu and help you, De Bruyne retorted in the comments section.
Haaland answered, “Yes, I dream about it every night. I’m not sure why.
Borussia Dortmund paid City £51 million for the Norwegian this summer.
Despite squandering numerous opportunities in their Community Shield loss to Liverpool, Haaland shown no such issues with his brace on Sunday at the London Stadium.
On his Premier League debut, he was brilliant, using his speed to win a penalty that he finished himself before latching onto the aforementioned De Bruyne through ball and putting the ball in the back of the net to make it 2-0.
You have to worry about the Premier League defenses this season after City scored 99 goals in the league last year and added someone who scored 86 goals in 89 games for Borussia Dortmund.
In order to stop City’s elite combination on Saturday, Scott Parker’s Bournemouth, who themselves kicked off their season with a magnificent 2-0 victory against Aston Villa, will need to be at the top of their game.
