Roger Federer boastfully states, “Nobody Could Break That Record,” about making tennis history with Dear Rival. Rafael Nadal

Wherever they played, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had the special ability to draw large crowds, much like a swarm of bees drawn to beautiful flowers. Over the course of their careers, they have officially faced off forty times. Whether it was an exhibition match or the championship match, Nadal and the Swiss Maestro have always had this tendency to break records, even though Nadal leads the match 24–16. A similar incident occurred during a friendly exhibition match between the long-time rivals in South Africa four years prior.

Roger Federer organized a series of exhibition matches called “The Match for Africa,” through which he raised over $3 million for early childhood education. Federer has a unique bond with South Africa because his mother was born there. “I love playing exhibition matches,” he said, going into further detail about his encounter with Rafael Nadal in that exhibition match. He continued by saying that during his career, he played on several continents. However, he can still clearly recall two locations.
