Russell Wilson will join the Steelers in 2024 NFL free agency, according to this former Pro Bowl player.

It is generally anticipated that Russell Wilson will leave the Denver Broncos prior to 2024 NFL free agency. The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly the quarterback’s ultimate destination, according to a former Pro Bowl player.

“Russell Wilson’s coming on over there to the Steelers — a little birdie told me — and I said this many shows ago,” the former wide receiver Chad Johnson stated recently on Shannon Sharpe’s “Nightcap” podcast. Deshaun Watson (for Cleveland), but the AFC is going to be terrible. It will be awful in the AFC.”

Johnson also had a prediction for Sharpe, who retaliated by saying that oddsmakers consider Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields to be the betting favorite to sign with the Steelers.

“No,” he adamantly said. “Fields will be traveling to Atlanta. I informed you. I have the screenplay.

Wilson has previously been connected to the Steelers; after former first-round pick Kenny Pickett’s unsatisfactory 2023 campaign, Pittsburgh brass said it will look to compete at quarterback. Though the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette recently revealed the team isn’t interested in adding a QB who expects to be the undisputed No. 1, head coach Mike Tomlin has been optimistic about Pickett’s potential.

Wilson, on the other hand, has a deal with Denver that runs through 2028, but the Broncos can declare him a post-June 1 release to protect their 2024 salary cap. Wilson’s return hasn’t been ruled out by head coach Sean Payton, but many are expecting a divorce due to the quarterback’s public contract battle and late-year demotion.
