During her press tour for her upcoming rock album Rockstar, the music superstar revealed over the weekend on Claudia Winkleman’s BBC radio show that she turned down tea with the Princess of Wales, who is also Prince William’s wife, while in the UK. The 77-year-old claimed the meeting wouldn’t have helped her album sales.I was even invited to tea with Kate. Parton laughed and added, “I felt so horrible. She invited me to tea, which I thought was extremely kind and nice of her, but I couldn’t even since they had all this things put up.
