Steelers welcome Washington RB for pre-draft visit.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may add depth at running back in the NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers have as good a running back combo as anybody in the NFL in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, but they may try to add depth in the backfield in the NFL Draft.

According to Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report, the Steelers are looking closely at Washington tailback Dillon Johnson and will pay him a top-30 visit. Johnson will also meet with the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings.

Johnson led the Huskies, the national runner-up, in rushing this season. After transferring from Mississippi State to Washington, he had by far the finest season of his career in 2023, totaling 1,385 total yards and 16 touchdowns on 257 touches.

In three seasons and 25 games at Mississippi State, he accumulated 2,062 total yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per touch.

Johnson has limited special teams experience, but he is a versatile pass catcher and rusher.
